About

Paul Murphy is an early-career artist based in Northern Tasmania with an interest in working with the notion of environmental change; more specifically the interplay between the man-made vs. natural and the subsequent results of this as we experience and consider the future.

Paul has exhibited in Tasmania, Victoria and Wellington + participated in MONA FOMA, Junction Art Festival, Lorne Sculpture Biennale, Inner Varnika, Rose Quartz Arts & Music Festival and Artentwine. His work is owned in private collections in Australia.

In 2018 he was awarded The North-East Tasmania Bakhap Award for Sculpture.
